Tours

The Cayman Islands snorkel stops, including Stingray City, Coral Gardens, Starfish Point, and Bioluminescent Bay, provide a classic marine tour experience. These North Sound Tours allow visitors to interact with friendly stingrays, snorkel over vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, and discover starfish in the tranquil, shallow waters of a serene beach.

STINGRAY CITY SANDBAR

What it is: A shallow sandbar located within the North Sound of Grand Cayman, where southern stingrays gather. What you’ll do: Wade in waist-deep water to pet, feed (with provided squid), and interact with these gentle, velvet-soft creatures. Why is it popular: A unique and hands-on encounter with wild marine life, often highlighted in North Sound Tours and a great complement to visits to Bioluminescent Bay or nearby snorkel stops.

Coral Gardens

What it is: A vibrant section of the barrier reef teeming with colorful corals and diverse fish species, perfect for exploring during North Sound Tours. What you'll do: Snorkel in calm, clear waters to observe parrotfish, angel fish, and potentially green sea turtles, eels, or even experience the stunning sights of the Bioluminescent Bay. Why it's popular: Offers a fantastic opportunity for snorkel stops for snorkelers of all skill levels to see healthy reef ecosystems.

Starfish Point

What it is: A secluded, shallow beach with ankle-deep water, home to numerous starfish, making it an ideal spot to visit after exploring the Bioluminescent Bay. What you'll do: Gently hold bright orange starfish for photos and enjoy the relaxed beach atmosphere. Why it's popular: A protected and picturesque spot perfect for families, it serves as one of the North Sound Tours' best snorkel stops, allowing visitors to capture memorable photos with the starfish.

Bioluminescent Bay

What it is: The bioluminescent bay is a shallow lagoon where millions of microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates create an electric-blue shimmer when the water is disturbed. What you’ll do: You can view the bioluminescence from the boat during North Sound Tours, but it's significantly better when you get in the water to swim or snorkel at one of the designated snorkel stops. Why is it popular: The bioluminescent bay is a popular 'bucket list' destination because it offers a rare, otherworldly experience described as swimming in stardust or a living galaxy.
